The massive Strawberry music festival hits Shenzhen this weekend in Longang. One of if not the biggest that takes place in China currently. Might be worth a visit.

As the most popular music festival in China, the Strawberry Music Festival, founded in 2009, has become an influential rock event in the country, attracting throngs of young people every year.

Strawberry is organized by Modern Sky, a big record label based in Beijing. They also put on Festivals in Wuhan, Xi'an, Zhenjiang and in the capital. This is probably China's number one music festival. This year's line-up has a diverse mix of rock, Chinese pop and some folk, plus an electronic stage that has some regular Shanghai faces plus a couple of international guests.

The festival’s theme will be “SNS life is rubbish, get a real life!” and evidently tries to encourage festival-goers to connect and meet via traditional channels. This, they hope to achieve through special social zones that encourage personal interaction.
